I think my dislike for it comes not so much from the typeface itself, but the extreme use of it.

Love the link! thanks!

Don't think you are alone with your dislike for comic sans. I'm always amazed at who decides to use Comic Sans in projects.

Yes, of course! I think this shall further be known as "choco-hour" and we shall dine on high-quality chocolate (provided by work, of course) and discuss current events.

Ah yes. The endless struggle between client and designer. Sometimes we get lucky, but it's a rare thing.

I have recently gone through some of the same struggles with my clients. I think I'm getting better at dealing with it these days. Once you accept it as an inevitability it gets easier. haha.

The trick, I find, is to do your best work every time - even with the limitations imposed. I'm sure you DO. And when that's not enough throw out the limitations and do it however you want. Throw caution to the wind. The client doesn't even have to see it. it can just be for your own personal gratification and creative growth.

Good post. keep it up. :)

The tough thing is design is SOOO subjective. As designers, most of what we create is the BEST, otherwise we wouldn't send it! ~=)

According to Steven Pressfield, Muse favors the working stiffs. She hates prima donnas. I honor your attitude and your commitment to fight against or engage the resistance. The resistance says, " Show me a writer who's too good to take job X or assignment Y and I'll show you a writer I can crack like a walnut."

Moxie has the guts to get into the ring and not sit on the sidelines being critical or making fun of those who so. And whether or not Moxie wins (according to others' standards), what I like about Moxie is that the gloves are bloody when they are finally taken off and hung up at the end of a working day. Moxie engages and that in itself is winning. If you don't show up to get into the ring, don't be telling Moxie how well or how poorly Moxie performed. Many show up with both lips flapping. Few engage. Moxie engages and is better for it.
